  • 3 tablespoons Gochujang adjust if needed

  • 4 slices Bacon or turkey bacon for a lower-fat option
  • 1 cup Kimchi or sauerkraut as a substitute
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar maple syrup can be used as a substitute

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cook 4 slices of chopped bacon in a skillet until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Add 1 cup of chopped kimchi and 2 tablespoons of brown sugar. Sauté for another 5 minutes until the kimchi softens.
  2. In a large bowl, combine 1 pound of ground chicken, 3 tablespoons of gochujang, salt and pepper. Form into four equal patties.
  3. Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat, add patties and cook 5-7 minutes each side until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  4. Toast the 4 buns. Spread mayonnaise on each bun, add burger patty, top with Kimchi Bacon Jam, cucumber slices and cilantro.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!
