  • 1 bean Vanilla Bean or 1 tsp vanilla bean paste/extract
  • 1 tsp Black Tea or 1 tea bag
  • 1 cup Water
For the Milk
  • 1/4 cup Milk whole milk, almond milk or oat milk
For Sweetness
  • 1 tsp Sugar adjust to taste, honey is an alternative

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Slice the vanilla bean in half lengthwise and scrape out the seeds into a small pot with the bean.
  2. Pour 1 cup of water into the pot with the vanilla bean and seeds, bring to a boil, then remove from heat and add black tea.
  3. Remove the tea bag or strain the tea leaves and vanilla pods to leave only the aromatic tea base.
  4. Stir in the sugar while the tea is warm, adjusting to taste.
  5. Heat 1/4 cup of milk in a saucepan, frothing it until light and airy.
  6. Pour the frothed milk over the steeped tea, swirl to combine, and serve immediately.
