Step-by-Step Instructions for Chili Lime Chicken Burgers
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped green onions, bell pepper, cilantro, minced garlic, salt, red pepper flakes, and freshly squeezed lime juice. Mix until well incorporated but avoid overmixing.
  2. Divide the chicken mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick. Place patties on a plate.
  3. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken patties and cook for about 2.5 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  4. Gently flip each burger patty and cook for another 2.5 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F. Remove and let rest.
  5. In a separate bowl, toss the mixed greens with olive oil, lime juice, and a pinch of salt. Ensure greens are coated but not soggy.
  6. To serve, layer the salad on each plate and place a warm patty on top. Garnish with sliced avocado and tomatoes. Optionally add more cilantro and lime.
