Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a hot skillet over medium-high heat, crumble and cook the ground beef until nicely browned, approximately 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat and transfer to slow cooker.
  2. Add the browned beef along with chopped onion, diced bell pepper, rinsed kidney beans, canned diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, red pepper flakes, and cayenne pepper to the slow cooker. Stir well.
  3. Cover the slow cooker and set it to low heat, cooking for 8-9 hours.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, uncover the slow cooker and stir the chili. Serve hot with your favorite garnishes.
