- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cake flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cream cold butter with brown and granulated sugars until light and fluffy. Add one cold egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter-sugar blend, mixing until just combined. Fold in chopped walnuts if desired.
- Fold in chopped chocolate bar and chocolate chips into the dough for even distribution.
- Scoop cookie dough into 10 large irregular balls and place on the baking sheet, pressing extra chocolate chips on top.
- Bake for 12-13 minutes until edges are golden brown and centers are soft. Remove and let cool slightly.
