  • 3/4 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder Dutch-processed for richer taste
  • 1 teaspoon Salt do not omit
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda ensure it's fresh
For the Chocolate and Peanut Butter
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips semisweet or dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup Peanut Butter use a runny, natural type

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the unsalted butter, cane sugar, and brown sugar together for 2–3 minutes until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Then, add vanilla extract and sourdough discard.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking soda. Combine with wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips gently.
  6. Swirl in peanut butter without overmixing.
  7. Drop cookie dough onto baking sheets and sprinkle with cane sugar. Bake for 8–10 minutes.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on wire rack for at least 5 minutes before serving.
