  • 8 ounces yakisoba noodles Can be swapped for ramen or udon
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use tamari for gluten-free
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce Hoisin sauce is a good substitute
  • 1/4 cup ketchup Tomato sauce can be used instead
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce Balsamic vinegar is an alternative
  • 2 tablespoons sugar Honey or agave syrup can also be used

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together sugar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce until well-combined.
  2. Wash and chop vegetables: slice bell pepper and carrot, chop green onions and yellow onion.
  3. Heat oil in a large pan over high heat; add onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
  4. Add cabbage and carrots, stirring for another 2-3 minutes until slightly golden, then remove from pan.
  5. Add chicken to the pan; cook for 5-6 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Return vegetables to pan; pour sauce over them and stir to coat. Add yakisoba noodles and stir-fry for an additional 3-5 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot.
