Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Season shrimp with seafood seasoning. Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil in a skillet and cook shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from skillet.
  2. Add ground sausage to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking it up until browned.
  3. Stir in chopped onions, bell peppers, and minced garlic. Sauté for 5 minutes until softened.
  4. Add spices and flour, stir well and allow to bloom for 1 minute.
  5. Pour in chicken broth, bring to a simmer for 5-7 minutes. Scrape browned bits.
  6. Mix in the rice and simmer for another 5 minutes to absorb flavors.
  7. Fold in shrimp and heat for an additional 2 minutes before serving.
