Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out your puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and spread fig preserves evenly.
  3. Sprinkle a layer of grated cheese evenly over the fig preserves.
  4. Roll the edges of the pastry towards the center, moistening the seams to seal.
  5. Chill the rolled pastry in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes before slicing.
  6. Slice the chilled roll into ½-inch thick pieces and arrange them on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  8. Cool the palmiers for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
