Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Soak 9 sheets of lasagna noodles in very hot water for about 15 minutes until pliable.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown 2 lbs of ground beef for approximately 8-10 minutes.
  3. Add one chopped onion to the browned beef and sauté for about 2 minutes until translucent.
  4. Carefully stir in 32 oz of spaghetti sauce and 16 oz of ricotta cheese, heating for about 5 minutes.
  5. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom.
  6. Layer 3 noodles, then 2 cups of meat sauce, topped with 3/4 cup of mozzarella cheese and 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan. Repeat for two more layers.
  7. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 45-55 minutes, removing foil during the last 10 minutes.
