Step-by-Step Instructions for Bacon Cheese Turnover
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Gather your ingredients and equipment.
  2. Slice the bacon into 1-inch pieces and heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Cook for about 5 minutes until crispy.
  3. Add diced sweet onion and brown sugar to the bacon, cooking for 7-10 minutes until onion is transparent.
  4. Whisk together egg and water in a bowl for the egg wash, setting aside.
  5. Roll out the puff pastry to about 1/8 inch thick, cut into six equal squares, and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
