  • 2 inches Fresh Ginger Grated for depth of flavor
  • 1/2 cup Agave Syrup or Maple Syrup Natural sweetener; adjust to taste
  • 4 cups Filtered Water Swap in sparkling water for a fizzy version
Garnish
  • 1 handful Fresh Mint Leaves Bruise lightly to release oils

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Make Ginger Syrup: Wash, peel, and grate the ginger. In a saucepan, combine grated ginger with filtered water and sweetener. Stir until dissolved, then cool and strain.
  2. Juice Lemons: Roll each lemon briskly, cut in half, and juice using a citrus juicer, straining out seeds.
  3. Mix Lemonade Base: In a pitcher, combine ginger syrup and lemon juice with cold water. Add bruised mint leaves and adjust sweetness.
  4. Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to meld flavors.
  5. Serve: Stir, pour over ice, and garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves.
