For the Miso Butter
  • 3 tablespoons White miso paste Can replace with regular miso, use less
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar Coconut sugar can be used as a substitute
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger Ground ginger may be used in a pinch
  • 2 cloves Garlic Fresh is preferred, garlic powder can work
  • 2 tablespoons Green onions Chives or shallots can be suitable substitutes

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, white miso paste, brown sugar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sliced green onions. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  2. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on a lined baking sheet. Evenly distribute the miso butter mixture over each salmon fillet.
  3. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes.
  4. For air fryer, preheat to 400°F (200°C) and cook for about 9-10 minutes.
  5. After cooking, drizzle any remaining melted miso butter over the top and garnish with extra green onions.
