Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat for 6-8 minutes.
  3. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, then add minced garlic and stir.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, then let simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese until smooth, then stir in chives and parsley.
  6. Layer a thin layer of meat sauce in the baking dish, followed by noodles, cream cheese mixture, and cheeses, repeating until all are used.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden.
  8. Let the lasagna rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
