Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage until fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes.
- Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 4-5 minutes, then stir in minced garlic.
- Add marinara sauce, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; let simmer for 15 minutes.
- Combine cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese in a mixing bowl; blend until smooth, then stir in chopped chives and parsley.
- Layer the lasagna: spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the dish, top with noodles, half the cream cheese mixture, and 1/3 of the mozzarella and cheddar.
- Repeat layers and finish with meat sauce and remaining cheeses on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is golden.
- Let it rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
