- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, brown 1 pound of ground beef and 1 pound of Italian sausage for 8-10 minutes. Drain fat and season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 15 oz of ricotta cheese, 8 oz of cream cheese, 1 cup of sour cream, and 2 cups of shredded mozzarella. Stir until smooth. Add an egg if using.
- In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce, followed by noodles, half of the cheese mixture, and half of the meat. Repeat layers and finish with noodles and sauce on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for another 25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the lasagna cool for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
