Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large skillet, combine ground beef and Italian sausage, cook for about 10 minutes until browned, then drain excess fat.
  3. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Stir in marinara sauce, tomato paste, and Italian seasoning. Season with salt and pepper, and let simmer for 15 minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, blend cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese until smooth. Fold in chives and parsley.
  6. In the baking dish, layer meat sauce, lasagna noodles, and cheese mixture until all ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella and cheddar on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil in the last 15-20 minutes to let the cheese bubble and brown.
