Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add sliced Vidalia onions, salt, and pepper. Sauté for 15-20 minutes until softened and translucent.
  2. Lower heat and cook for 55-60 minutes until onions are deeply golden brown and caramelized.
  3. Finely chop caramelized onions and combine them with softened cream cheese and Greek yogurt in a mixing bowl. Stir until well combined.
  4. Add onion powder, garlic, chives, and lemon juice. Fold the mixture until evenly combined.
  5. Adjust seasoning to taste with salt, pepper, or lemon juice.
  6. Transfer the dip to a bowl, cover, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
