  • 1/2 cup Milk or Cold Water Non-dairy milk works well
  • 1 unit Egg Use a flax egg for vegan variation
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced, adjust based on taste
  • 1/4 cup Parsley Can substitute with basil or oregano
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt Adjust according to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Optional
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil For sautéing
For Cooking
  • 1 tbsp Optional Cooking Oil Any type preferred

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) if baking, or heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine diced white bread with milk or cold water and let soak for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add lean ground beef, ground pork, grated Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, sea salt, and black pepper to the bowl and gently combine.
  4. Shape the mixture into uniform meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter, and place on a greased baking sheet or in a skillet.
  5. If baking, cook in the oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. If sautéing, cook in the skillet for about 10-12 minutes until browned.
  6. Serve immediately atop spaghetti, in a sub, or in soup, and store leftovers in an airtight container.
