Ingredients

For the Wings
  • 2 pounds Chicken Party Wings Feel free to swap in drumsticks if preferred.
  • 1 cup Pickle Juice Brining agent for flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Bourbon Can substitute with apple cider vinegar for non-alcoholic option.
  • 2 tablespoons Honey Agave syrup is a great vegan alternative.
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar Can be omitted for lower sugar version.
For the Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Fresh onion can work but should be used in smaller amounts.
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper Adjust to your heat preference or omit for milder wings.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Opt for sea salt for a cleaner flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
For Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Chopped Dill Parsley makes a fine substitute if needed.
  • 1 cup Sliced Pickles Choose any kind, like dill or sweet bread-and-butter.
  • 1/2 cup Ranch Dressing Blue cheese is another option.

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Metal Rack
  • Ziploc Bag

Method

Marinating and Baking
  1. Begin by placing your chicken party wings in a large Ziploc bag and pouring in enough pickle juice to submerge them fully. Seal the bag, ensuring no air is trapped inside, and massage the wings gently. Refrigerate for 1 to 4 hours.
  2. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) while preparing the baking sheet. Line a baking sheet with a metal rack and coat it with non-stick spray.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the bourbon, honey, brown sugar, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Whisk until well blended.
  4. Place the drained wings on the prepared rack, ensuring they are spaced evenly. Coat each wing with the bourbon mixture.
  5. Bake the wings for approximately 50 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crisping.
  6. Once baked, let the wings rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle fresh chopped dill and serve with sliced pickles and ranch dressing.
