Preparation Steps

  3. Gradually add both sugars and mix until fully combined. Add the egg and mix until smooth.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mix until just combined.
  5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Scoop about one tablespoon of dough, create an indent, and fill with caramel. Mold dough around the filling.
  7. Place on baking sheets, bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Sprinkle sea salt on top before serving.
