Step-by-Step Instructions for Blackberry Pretzel Dessert
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Prepare a 9x13 baking dish by lightly spraying it with nonstick spray.
  2. Crush the pretzels until coarse, then mix with brown sugar, flour, and vanilla extract. Stir in melted butter and press into the baking dish, saving ½ cup for later.
  3. Bake the pretzel crust for about 10 minutes until slightly golden. Let it cool completely.
  4. In a saucepan, combine blackberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Cook until thick and bubbly, about 5-7 minutes. Let cool slightly.
  5. Beat room temperature cream cheese until fluffy. Gradually blend in powdered sugar and fold in Cool Whip.
  6. Once the crust is cool, spread the cream cheese mixture on top. Spoon cooled blackberry topping over it, and sprinkle reserved pretzel crumbs on top.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  8. Slice into squares and serve cold.
