  • 1 block Tofu Press for 20-30 minutes
  • 1/2 cup BBQ Sauce Consider homemade for extra flavor
Buns
  • 4 buns Brioche or Regular Hamburger Buns Use gluten-free if necessary

  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise Use vegan mayo for plant-based
Slaw
  • 2 cups Shredded Cabbage
  • 1 cup Carrots Shredded
  • 1/4 cup Vegan Mayo For classic coleslaw

Preparation
  1. Press a block of tofu for 20-30 minutes to remove excess moisture, then slice and marinate in BBQ sauce for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
Cooking
  1. Cook marinated tofu on the grill or skillet for about 5-7 minutes on each side, brushing with extra BBQ sauce.
  2. Check for golden brown edges and heated interior, approximately 12-14 minutes total.
Assembling
  1. Spread vegan mayo on the bottom half of each bun, layer BBQ tofu, slaw, avocado, and dill pickles on top.
  2. Ensure toppings are heaped high for satisfaction.
Serving
  1. Serve immediately while tofu is warm. Optionally pair with air fryer French fries or potato salad.
