Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and prepare an 8½-inch loaf pan with nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, mix the eggs, Greek yogurt, buttermilk, melted butter, vanilla extract, almond extract, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt, then gently fold into the wet mixture.
- Prepare the cherries by pitting and quartering fresh ones, or draining canned ones. Toss with cornstarch and fold into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle reserved cherries and sliced almonds on top before baking.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
- Whisk together the confectioner’s sugar, almond extract, and cream for the glaze.
- Once the bread is cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top and let it set before slicing.

Notes
Choose quality cherries for the best flavor. Don't overmix the batter for a light loaf.
