- In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook for 5–7 minutes, until browned.
- Add finely chopped mushrooms to the skillet and cook for an additional 3–5 minutes, allowing them to soften.
- Add bell peppers and drained black beans to the skillet. Mix well and continue cooking for 3–4 minutes until tender.
- In a bowl, combine tomato sauce, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar. Mix well.
- Pour the sauce over the turkey and vegetable mixture in the skillet. Stir and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Serve warm on whole-grain buns, lettuce wraps, or over rice. Can also be frozen for later use.
