Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook for 5–7 minutes, until browned.
  2. Add finely chopped mushrooms to the skillet and cook for an additional 3–5 minutes, allowing them to soften.
  3. Add bell peppers and drained black beans to the skillet. Mix well and continue cooking for 3–4 minutes until tender.
  4. In a bowl, combine tomato sauce, barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, and brown sugar. Mix well.
  5. Pour the sauce over the turkey and vegetable mixture in the skillet. Stir and let simmer for about 10 minutes.
  6. Serve warm on whole-grain buns, lettuce wraps, or over rice. Can also be frozen for later use.
