Cooking Steps
- In a large skillet over medium heat, combine ground beef and ground hot sausage. Cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
- Drain excess grease from the skillet after browning the meat.
- Add Velveeta cheese to the skillet and stir continuously over low heat until melted, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in Worcestershire sauce, oregano, garlic salt, and regular salt. Combine well and keep warm for 2 minutes.
- Preheat the broiler to high and line a baking sheet with slices of party rye bread.
- Place about 2 tablespoons of the meat-cheese mixture on each rye bread slice, leaving space in between.
- Broil for 2-3 minutes, watching closely until the tops are golden brown and bubbly.
- Alternatively, bake at 350°F for 15-18 minutes for a slower method.
- Once done, sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
