  • 2 cups Blueberries Fresh or frozen.
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar Honey can be a delicious substitute.
  • 1/4 cup Apple Cider Vinegar Rice vinegar works well if needed.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Feel free to use fresh garlic for bolder flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Fresh onions can be used for added texture.
  • to taste Salt Essential for amplifying flavor.
  • to taste Pepper Essential for amplifying flavor.

Equipment

  • medium saucepan
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Grill

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine blueberries, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens, about 15 minutes.
  2. Once the sauce has cooled, set aside some for glazing later. In a large bowl, toss the remaining sauce with the chicken wings. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 375–400°F (190–200°C). Oil the grill grates with a paper towel to prevent sticking.
  4. Remove the wings from the marinade and grill for about 20-25 minutes, flipping every 5-7 minutes for even cooking and crispiness.
  5. In the final minutes, brush the reserved blueberry sauce over the wings. Once glazed and cooked through, let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
