Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine gochujang, gochugaru, brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well to create a cohesive marinade.
  2. Place the chicken thighs in a large bowl or Ziploc bag. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill to 400°F or heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add a drizzle of oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Once hot, place the marinated chicken thighs smooth-side down. Grill or sear for 4-5 minutes without touching.
  5. Flip the chicken and cook for another 4-5 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Remove the chicken from heat, cover loosely with foil, and let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
