  • 12 rolls King's Hawaiian rolls Soft, sweet rolls
  • 0.5 pound Thinly sliced bologna Choose from beef, pork, or turkey
  • 6 slices American cheese Gooey cheese, can substitute
  • 1.5 tablespoons Unsalted butter Add more for frying
  • 0.5 teaspoon Poppy seeds Optional for crunch
For the Pickle Dijonnaise
  • 0.25 cup Mayonnaise Or Greek yogurt for lighter version
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard Adds tanginess
  • 0.25 cup Chopped dill pickles For crunch and brininess
  • 0.5 teaspoon Pickle juice Enhances flavor
  • 0.25 teaspoon Garlic powder Or fresh garlic for bolder taste

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped dill pickles, pickle juice, and garlic powder. Stir until blended.
  3. Heat a pan over medium heat, add butter, and fry bologna until crispy (2-3 minutes each side).
  4. Mix melted butter with poppy seeds, and prepare the opening of King's Hawaiian rolls in a baking pan.
  5. Spread Pickle Dijonnaise on the bottom half of the rolls, layer with cheese and bologna, and place the top half of the rolls back on.
  6. Brush the tops with the melted butter and poppy seed mixture.
  7. Bake sliders for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  8. Let cool slightly before cutting and serving warm.
