- Boil water in a kettle or pot until it bubbles vigorously. Once it boils, remove from heat and let it sit for about one minute.
- Add 2 tablespoons of coarsely ground coffee beans to your French press. Optionally, mix in a splash of vanilla extract.
- Pour the hot water over the coffee grounds in the French press. Allow the coffee to steep for four minutes.
- Froth your choice of milk until creamy. If using a handheld frother that doesn't heat, warm the milk to about 150°F before frothing.
- After steeping, press down the plunger and divide the coffee between two mugs. Top with the frothed milk.
