Step-by-Step Instructions for Dandelion Jelly
  1. Rinse the Dandelion Petals by gathering 4 cups of fresh dandelion flowers and removing any green parts.
  2. Steep the Petals by pouring 4 cups of boiling water over the rinsed petals and letting it cool.
  3. Strain the Liquid using a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth to separate the liquid from the solids.
  4. Combine Ingredients by mixing the strained liquid with lemon juice and pectin.
  5. Boil the Mixture, stirring continuously, then add sugar once boiling.
  6. Jar the Jelly using sterilized half-pint jars and fill them to about 1/4 inch from the top.
  7. Process in Water Bath by placing jars in boiling water and processing for 10 minutes.
  8. Cool and Store, allowing jars to cool overnight and checking seals.
