Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Pour in the melted unsalted butter, stirring until the mixture resembles a crumbly texture. Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan and firmly press the crust mixture evenly into the base.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Carefully place the crust in the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges turn a light golden brown. Once done, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool slightly on a wire rack.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, blending until homogenous. Then, incorporate the large eggs, pure vanilla extract, and heavy cream, mixing gently until the custard is silky and well combined.
  4. Carefully pour the luscious custard mixture over the cooled crust, spreading it evenly. Return the pan to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  5. Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack for about 30 minutes. After cooling, transfer the bars to the refrigerator and chill them for 1-2 hours.
  6. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and unsalted butter. Heat in 30-second increments, stirring in between until the mixture is completely melted and smooth. If desired, add light corn syrup for shine, then drizzle the glaze over the chilled bars.
