  • 1 cup Walnut pieces Can be substituted with almonds or pecans.
  • 1 cup Medjool dates Chopped, ensure they are fresh.
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cardamom Substitute with cinnamon if preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon Enhances flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt Balances sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup Coconut oil Can replace with avocado oil or melted butter.
  • 1/4 cup Maple syrup Date syrup is a great alternative.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine rolled oats, walnut pieces, chopped Medjool dates, ground cardamom, cinnamon, and salt. Stir well.
  3. Drizzle melted coconut oil and maple syrup over the dry ingredients and mix until thoroughly coated.
  4. Spread the granola mixture evenly on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 22 minutes, stirring halfway through for even cooking.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely on the baking sheet.
  7. Break into clusters and transfer to an airtight container.
