Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Wash and prepare your ingredients. Chop the asparagus, slice the mushrooms, and mince the garlic and ginger.
  2. Heat a large skillet or wok with 1-2 tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the shrimp to the hot skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
  4. Remove the cooked shrimp from the pan and set aside, leaving the heat on.
  5. In the same pan, cook the minced garlic and ginger for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Add the chopped asparagus and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until bright and crisp.
  7. Stir in the sliced mushrooms and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  8. Return the shrimp to the skillet, pour in the soy or teriyaki sauce, and stir to combine.
  9. Drizzle with sesame oil before serving, and stir gently.
  10. Serve immediately, garnishing with herbs or sesame seeds if desired.
