Cooking Steps
- In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, the zest and juice of one orange, and a pinch of salt. Add the Bhetki fish fillet, ensuring it's evenly coated in the marinade. Let it rest for about 10 minutes.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add a splash of olive oil. Once hot, gently place the marinated Bhetki fish fillet in the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and flaky.
- In the same pan, lower the heat to medium and add the butter. Allow it to melt, then add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until aromatic.
- Squeeze juice from the remaining oranges into the pan, stir in the honey, and season with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Place the cooked Bhetki fish back into the pan, spooning the sauce over. Cover and simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes before serving hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
