  • 5 leaves Fresh Basil can substitute with parsley or mint
  • to taste Salt

Equipment

  • Non-stick pan

Method

Cooking Steps
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, the zest and juice of one orange, and a pinch of salt. Add the Bhetki fish fillet, ensuring it's evenly coated in the marinade. Let it rest for about 10 minutes.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add a splash of olive oil. Once hot, gently place the marinated Bhetki fish fillet in the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and flaky.
  3. In the same pan, lower the heat to medium and add the butter. Allow it to melt, then add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until aromatic.
  4. Squeeze juice from the remaining oranges into the pan, stir in the honey, and season with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Place the cooked Bhetki fish back into the pan, spooning the sauce over. Cover and simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes before serving hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
