Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the pan by greasing a 9x9-inch pan with non-stick spray and lining with parchment paper.
  2. Melt 1 stick of unsalted butter over medium heat until golden brown and nutty, about 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  3. Stir in a pinch of sea salt and 8 cups of mini marshmallows into the browned butter. Return to low heat and stir until marshmallows melt completely, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and mix in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, add 6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal to the melted marshmallow mixture and fold until well coated.
  6. Press half of the Rice Krispie mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  7. Spread a generous layer of dulce de leche over the first layer of Rice Krispies.
  8. Distribute the remaining Rice Krispie mixture on top of the dulce de leche layer, pressing down gently.
  9. Allow the treats to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes or until cool and firm.
