  • ½ whole ripe avocado peeled and pitted

  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped; omit if not preferred
  • 1 clove garlic finely chopped
  • 1 whole lime zest and juice
For Seasoning
  • 1 pinch kosher salt to taste
Optional Thinning Agent

Method
 

Directions
  1. In a blender, add sour cream, ripe avocado, chopped cilantro, garlic, lime zest, and juice. Add kosher salt.
  2. Blend on medium speed until smooth, about 30-45 seconds. Scrape sides as needed.
  3. Taste and adjust lime juice or salt if necessary, then blend briefly to mix.
  4. Transfer to an airtight container, pressing wrap against the surface to minimize browning. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Stir before serving. Use as a drizzle for tacos or as a dip.
