- In a small saucepan, combine 1 ½ cups of water, sugar, and the lavender buds. Heat the mixture over medium-high heat until it reaches a boil, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar completely—this should take about 1 minute.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the lavender simple syrup cool for about 30 minutes.
- Set a fine-mesh sieve over a bowl or measuring cup, and carefully pour the syrup through it to strain out the lavender buds.
- In a large pitcher, mix together the strained lavender syrup, 2 cups of freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 6 cups of cold water. Stir well to combine all the flavors.
- Pour the Lavender Lemonade into glasses filled with ice, and brighten each serving with fresh lavender sprigs and lemon wedges for garnish.
