Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather your ingredients and equipment.
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the short pasta according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and return to pot.
  3. Melt butter in a skillet on medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Toss in thawed shrimp and cook until pink, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in lemon juice and red pepper flakes if desired.
  4. In the pot with the cooked pasta, combine the shrimp mixture, heavy cream, and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Stir well to coat all ingredients.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and distribute evenly. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly with a golden brown color.
