- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Gather your ingredients and equipment.
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the short pasta according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and return to pot.
- Melt butter in a skillet on medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Toss in thawed shrimp and cook until pink, about 3-4 minutes. Stir in lemon juice and red pepper flakes if desired.
- In the pot with the cooked pasta, combine the shrimp mixture, heavy cream, and half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. Stir well to coat all ingredients.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and distribute evenly. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly with a golden brown color.
