Equipment

  • 9x13-inch Baking Dish
  • Large skillet
  • Mixing Bowl

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish lightly with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and no longer pink, about 7-10 minutes. Drain excess grease, then stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the browned beef mixture with uncooked rice, beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, cream of cheddar soup, and sour cream. Add Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, and pepper, mixing thoroughly.
  4. Transfer the filling into the prepared baking dish, smoothing the top. Cover with aluminum foil.
  5. Bake covered in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes until the rice is tender and most liquid is absorbed.
  6. Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, and return to the oven for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Let the casserole rest for about 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
