Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) with a 10-inch cast-iron skillet placed inside. Allow it to heat for about 10-15 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together 4 eggs, 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of milk, and 4 tablespoons of melted butter until smooth. Add salt and black pepper. Let rest for 5 minutes.
- Carefully remove the hot skillet from the oven. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and swirl to coat. This creates a non-stick base.
- Pour the rested batter into the hot skillet, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle 1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese and crumbled crispy bacon on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes without opening the door. The Cheddar & Bacon Dutch Baby will puff up and turn golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and chives. Drizzle honey if desired.

Notes
Serve immediately for the best flavor and warm, gooey texture. Enjoy the dish as it’s best fresh out of the oven.
