Preparation
- In a large warm bowl, mix together the yeast, warm milk, and sugar. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until bubbly.
- Add melted butter and the beaten egg, mix until smooth.
- Gradually incorporate the all-purpose flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5-8 minutes on a floured surface, then place in a greased bowl and cover it to rise for 1 hour.
Assembly
- Punch down the risen dough and divide into small pieces.
- Coat each piece in melted butter, roll in sugar (and cinnamon if desired), and layer with blueberries in a greased bundt pan.
- Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Baking and Serving
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes before inverting onto a serving plate.
